See
those two little lights? They indicate voltage and current
on the "transmission line", the two parallel copper
pipes they're sitting on. As Bill slides them along the line,
changes the length of the antenna at the end, and adds inductors,
capacitors and stubs to the line, you see exactly what's happening by
watching those lights and the usual meters and scopes. Another light on
a receiving antenna shows what matters most - how your received
signal is affected by all the manipulation. Bill explains it all
as he demonstrates. It's the best way you'll ever "see" VSWR...
except for that story Bill tells about the radio engineer who saw
icicles that
formed a sine-wave hanging
from the transmission line of an iced-up antenna. That was more visual.
This DVD is indexed by topic for easy review, but at an hour and forty
minutes, it's going to be a little long for a club meeting.
